Job Description: POSITION OVERVIEW: We are looking for a senior candidate with 10+ years in sales management and a strong background in manufacturing and/or oilfield related equipment. Reporting to the Vice President, the Manager of Sales & Marketing is responsible for establishing the sales and marketing strategy and programs, including product pricing, product sales channels and promotion policies. The Manager of Sales & Marketing directs the efforts of the North American sales and marketing team to achieve ambitious revenue and net income objectives. This is a senior role which will require the individual to work from home while overseeing up to 3 sales reps covering Canada and the US. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, communicate and execute an integrated sales and marketing plan that supports the organization's strategic plan as defined by financial and non-financial performance measures. Provide strategic sales and marketing leadership regarding product, pricing, product sales channels, sales effectiveness and product positioning to maximize revenue and net income. Develop market share objectives and measure performance against the objectives. Direct market and competitor research, product planning, sales forecasting and customer relations activities. Establish and manage a database comprised of information pertaining to markets, competitors and customers. Establish a controlled electronic means of documenting and revising customer requirements and quotations for products that meet the requirements. Reinforce and lead a geographically dispersed team of sales and marketing product experts focused on satisfying customer requirements. REQUIREMENTS: A progression through management roles in a design and manufacturing oriented industry. Proven success leading sales and marketing and a sales force comprised of a number of product experts. A solid background in defining and satisfying customer requirements. Track record in successfully managing relationships with customers, dealers and sales people. KEY ATTRIBUTES: Superior people skills; a leader with strong listening skills.
