Calgary based position Are you a mining engineer? Do you have open pit mine experience? Do you have 10 years? experience in the mining industry? Do you have oil sands experience? If you answered yes to all these questions, I have the opportunity you have been looking for: Key Responsibilities: Partner with engineering and operations to determine a comprehensive Scope of Work.
Develop key contract which supports Scope of Work, construction and operations.
Liaise with internal contracts department to coordinate mine contracts.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of technical requirements and deliverables required for tendering.
Assist with contractor identification and prequalification.
Consistent technical coordination with internal departments and key stakeholders on contract strategies. Participate in evaluation, negotiation, preparation and award of contracts. Key Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in Mining Minimum of 10 years mining industry experience, oil sands experience would be a definite asset.
Strong understanding of the technical and operational aspects of mining.
Experience developing mine construction and/or operations tender packages.
Highly motivated team player and self-starter.
