I have a complete set of circulated Canadian Voyageur non silver large dollars coins for sale.
There are 21 coins in the set and I am asking $50. The dates in the set are:
1968, 1969, 1970 Manitoba, 1971 BC, 1972, 1973 PEI, 1974 Winnipeg, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1982 Confederation, 1983, 1984, 1984 Cartier, 1985, 1986
They coins are made of 99.9% nickel and do not contain any actual silver but are still commonly referred to as "Silver Dollars", or "Voyageur Dollars". Before 1968 they were made of 80% silver. These coins were replaced by the Loonie in 1987 but are still (and always will be) legal tender in Canada. These coins were not used much in general circulation and once they were replaced by the Loonie they immediately became quite hard to find.
The coins come in this attractive Coin Safe folder, a $5 value.
These coins make great gifts and conversation pieces. This is a great way to own a nice piece of Canadian history. The set would make a great gift, and would be perfect to get a child interested in coin collecting or for the history buff in your family.
Thanks for looking! Please don't hesitate to contact with any questions.
